ABOUT NEW ROAD PRODUCTIONS
Hi, I'm Wes! I'm the owner and lead photographer and videographer at New Road Productions, based in Austin, Texas.
My career behind the camera began in documentary television, working on productions for networks including National Geographic, Discovery, HGTV, Smithsonian, Travel Channel, and Food Network. That experience gave me a strong foundation in visual storytelling, an eye for the unexpected, and the ability to capture authentic moments as they naturally unfold.
After moving to Texas in 2009, I discovered my passion for wedding filmmaking. What started with videography soon expanded into photography, and since 2010, I've had the opportunity to document hundreds of weddings and some pretty incredible moments along the way.
My approach is simple: capture your day naturally, creatively, and true to life. I believe the best photos and films come from genuine moments, not forced poses or overly staged scenes. My goal is to create images and films that feel authentic to you and look just as good decades from now as they do today.
Over the years, I've also built a talented team of experienced videographers who share my approach to storytelling and attention to detail. Whether I'm behind the camera myself or working alongside my team, every wedding receives the same level of care and professionalism. All of our films are edited in-house under my direction, ensuring a consistent style and quality that reflects the New Road Productions brand.
When I'm not behind the camera, you'll usually find me spending time with my son, traveling, exploring the outdoors with my dogs, checking out new restaurants around Austin, or watching a good documentary.
I take a lot of pride in what I do, and whether I'm photographing an intimate ceremony or filming a large celebration, I bring the same attention to detail and commitment to every wedding.
